Do I need to know how to code?
No. The editor is fully drag-and-drop — upload a floor plan, draw areas, drop markers. Embedding takes a single line of HTML, no build steps required. Developers also get an API and SDKs for full control.

Can I use my own floor plan?
Yes. Upload any image — PNG, JPG, SVG, or WebP up to 5 MB. Layota auto-fits it into the editor and you start drawing areas and dropping markers immediately. If you don't have a plan yet, pick from our ready-made templates.

How is this different from Google Maps?
Google Maps shows the world. Layota shows your space. We focus on indoor and venue-scale maps — buildings, malls, museums, campuses — with the editor and embed flow tuned for that. You own the content, the design, and the data.

Is there an API?
Yes. Pro and Enterprise plans include API keys, JavaScript / iOS / Android SDKs, webhooks, and a REST API. Full programmatic control: read, write, embed, and react to user events.

Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly plans cancel at the next billing cycle, no penalties. Your maps stay live until the end of the period — and your data stays exportable forever.

Is it GDPR compliant?
Yes. We are based in Germany and follow GDPR by design. EU data stays in the EU, no third-party cookies in the embed by default, and you control consent flows for analytics. DPA available on request.

Do you offer a self-hosted version?
Self-hosted deployment is available on the Enterprise plan. Run Layota inside your own infrastructure — perfect for regulated industries (healthcare, government, defense) and for organizations with strict data residency requirements.
